Ana Javier, M.A, L.C.P.C., P.A.T.P
Clinical Director, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
From a young age, I recall a deep sensitivity to the emotions and experiences of others. Even as a child, I felt an intuitive pull to offer hope-an inner knowing that continues to guide me both personally and professionally. I grew up in Back of the Yards—a working-class community in Chicago.
Before moving into private practice, I spent over 12 years in a community mental health Center in Cicero, Illinois. During my time there, I served in multiple roles—clinical supervisor, therapist, intake specialist, crisis responder, community liaison, and grant program supervisor. Working in community mental health profoundly impacted my life, deepening my appreciation of the power of presence and the role of community in relational healing.
As an avid learner, I continually seek out cutting-edge, evidence-based treatment interventions. My clinical work is influenced by the teachings of Pat Ogden, Bessel van der Kolk, Peter Levine, Gabor Maté, Bruce Perry, Dan Siegel, Alfred Adler, Kristin Neff, and Elaine Aron.
I find profound joy in helping clients recognize their gifts and flourish in ways they once believed were beyond reach.
Spirituality plays an essential role in my life and work. I enjoy learning contemplative, global wisdom traditions, and universal spiritual truths. I draw inspiration from Christian mysticism, Hinduism, and Buddhist philosophy. Mindfulness is both a personal discipline and a therapeutic tool I weave into my sessions with intention and care. I draw ongoing inspiration from the teachings of Jesus, The Buddha Thich Nhat Hanh, Matthew Fox, Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Rob Bell, Richard Rohr, Alan Watts, Ram Dass, and the loving wisdom of Mother Earth. I believe that the natural world offers profound healing and grounding.
As a clinical director, my mission is to foster an environment of community, excellence, commitment and curiosity, mentoring my team with the same heart-centered dedication I bring to my clients.

Master's Level Intern
Pause for a moment. Why am I struggling?
Let’s get curious—together.
I’m currently pursuing my MS in Clinical Counseling, bringing together formal education and a lifetime of rich, real-world experience. My path has been shaped by both joyful moments and deep challenges—each offering insight, wisdom, and compassion that now inform my work.
I believe that balance leads to wholeness. In therapy, I integrate practical and non-traditional approaches to healing. Whether you're navigating relationships, career stress, or your connection with your Self, I offer a space where you can explore the full spectrum of life’s goodness and struggles. When we care for our mental, physical, and spiritual health, we create space for joy. Healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken; it’s about embracing all parts of you, with curiosity, grace, and self-compassion.
My therapeutic approach centers around client empowerment and the belief that you are the expert of your own life. I use a mix of narrative therapy, mindfulness, somatic practices, and compassion modalities to support your unique journey. Therapy with me is collaborative, flexible, and yes—there’s room for humor and lightness, too.
If you’re seeking self-care, deeper connection, and healing, I’m here as a guide and a tool for transformation. Together, we’ll get curious, because change is possible.
